I recently transcribed the will of James Puckett and submitted it to the Laurens County, SC Archives (online). As of Friday, it has yet to show up on the website, therefore I will paste it to this e-mail. I am a descendant of the Overby's and William Ball, who witnessed this will of James Puckett. I hope this assists you somewhat in your research. I have a feeling the Overby's and Puckett's were related in some way or another, but I have yet to find out how. If anyone can help me out, I'd love to hear from you! I transcribed it exactly the way I received it, however I did interject spaces to break it up a bit so it can be read a bit easier. If you have any questions about interpretation, please don't hesitate to contact me. Lisa Will transcription provided by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History Contributed by: Lisa D.
