Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YeB.2ACI/545.1.2.1 Message Board Post: hi---------my william harris, sr and jr had adjacent original 1772 land grants in the little river area of laurens co, sc. my william harris, jr's grant was also adjacent andrew rodgers. the laurens co, sc records book 1785-1820 also shows that my william harris, jr was involved with the rodgers family. then, john rodgers, esq, was one of the purchasers at my william harris, jr's 1799 laurens co, sc estate sale. these connections have led me to believe that my william harris, jr's wife, frances, was frances rodgers, dau of this john rodgers, esq, who would have been john rodgers, sr, and his wife, margaret mc nees. i am also concerned about dates. i estimate my frances rodgers? harris was probably born ca 1750. does the "martin book" also give the birthdate and date of death for john rodgers, sr???---------thanks, belva harris cauthen----------- belvacauthen@yahoo.com
