I still have much to do on the Rodgers line. I have found a Martha Rodgers 70 b. SC living in the household of Albert Madden and Mary Jane Rodgers Madden in 1860 that I am now trying to place. Has to be connected but am just not sure where as of yet. Genealogy is just like a giant jigsaw puzzle and I do love puzzles.
I have a property record in my notes that might help. There is an Albert Madden in the 1830 and 1840 censuses that I place at or near Maddens. My notes indicate no Albert in 1850, and I have a blank in 1860. Could you please send me the page and dwelling number for Albert in the 1860 census? I would like to add it to my records. The property record is in Deed Book P, page 96. I do not have a date for this, but it was probably 1846. Albert Madden sold 225 acres in Little River watershed, a branch called Regons ?? Creek. It was bordered north by Wm. Goss and Bill Rogers, west by Jeremiah Collins, south by Mistress Susan Boyd, and east by Patillo Farrow. I place this land roughly a mile east of Maddens. I think that "Regons" that I put in my notes should really be "Ryans". You might look for records of the Bill Rogers family to see if there is a Martha.
