Someone asked me how I determine living locations from the census records. There is no direct way of doing this. I have worked off and on for 20 years learning how to do this. Am about 80% successful for 1830-1880, and less precise for 1790-1810. Have used maps, deeds, books, etc. and compared neighbors from one census to another. A copy of my work is in the Laurens Co. Library. Will put out a new version for the library next year, maybe. It is too bulky to publish, and really not ready for "prime time". Richard Lorenz
