Henry Davis is shown on the Union Co. Land Grant Map #4 with a 50 acre grant in 1787. This is on the Enoree River at Jones Ford, about 1/2 mile above Canebreak Branch. Josiah Duckett had an adjacent grant of 140 acres in 1769 according to the map. Henry Davis' name is written on Map #3 on the north side of modern Highway 72 about 3/4 mile from the Newberry Co. line. This does not appear to be a grant but he was probably listed as an adjoining property owner in an unspecified deed. Richard Lorenz
