SC? Her husband was a son of John Abernathy who married Rhoda Davis in 1775 in Newberry Co. SC. Mr. and Mrs. John Davis Abernathy moved from SC to GA in 1829 or 1830. They joined Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church in DeKalb Co. (now Fulton Co.) GA in 1844. That's Atlanta now. Their children born in SC were Hannah Abernathy Burdett b 1817, Thomas D. Abernqthy b 1819 (m Elizabeth J. Martin), James N. Abernathy b 1823 (m Mary Townsend), and Elizabeth W. Abernathy Jet b 1826. I'm not sure if the next baby (Debby Ann Abernathy Goodwin b 1829) was b in SC or GA.
