We will have a business meeting and then lunch in the social hall. Plenty of time for socializing and visiting the final resting places of the ancestors who are buried at Lebanon and at Sharon UMC cemetery about a mile away. Thomas McNeill came to America from Killyglen Townland, Grangekillglen, Co Antrim, Ireland with his wife Margaret McWilliams and 5 children in 1846. They had 5 more children in America before the death of Margaret in 1858. He then married Rachel Charles and had 2 more children before her death in 1861 whereupon he married Rachel's sister, Rebecca and had 2 more children before she died in before his death in 1879. Thomas's brother, William Campbell McNeill, I came to America in 1852 after the death of their father, Andrew McNeill and their mother Elizabeth McCombs in Ireland. He brought with him his wife Jane and 4 children. Only one, William Campbell Jr married and he married 1st Isabella Knox and 2nd Fannie Ophelia Palmer. There were also marriages into the Wilson, Fortescue, Woodhurst, Edwards, Walker, Frith and Greer families of Anderson, Abbeville, Greenville and surrounding areas. Please come join us as we get together to meet new cousins and renew ties with 'old' cousins. Bring a well filled picnic basket. Drinks, plates and utensils will be provided.
