Trying to find info on my ggrandmother's family. Her name was Missouri Eudora (or Udora) Prather. She was born on Feb 8 and her death certificate lists the year as 1858. She died on October 15, 1940. I have seen the birth year elsewhere as 1861. Her death certificate lists her father as Billy Prather and her mother as Nancy someone (I can't really read it). I have found a Missouri Prather born to William Prather and Nancy Waldrop. My problem is that I can't connect my ggrandmother with them. Missouri was born in Laurens Co., and married Jesse Murphy Bobo. I have more info than I need on the Bobo's. What I need is some help connecting my ggrandmother to this William and Nancy. If these people aren't my gggrandparents, the coincidence in their names and the names and dates on her death certificate are scary. I understand that the library in Laurens has a lot of information on the Prather's. The problem is that I live in Virginia and seldom get to S.C. to check. I! really need help here. Any takers?
