She was a former employee of the Laurens School District #55. Surviving are her husband, J. L. Abercrombie; daughter, Angela Compton; son, Bradley Abercrombie; grandson, George Compton III; parents; brother, Wayne Riddle; sisters, Linda Smallwood, Paula Shealy, Ann Lawrence, Nancy McCall.
