Hello list, I am trying to locate any wills, land deeds, Bible Rercords of the Craddock family that lived in Laurens, in the early Colonial Period of 1786-1798. Children of Edmund and Ann Elmore Craddock are: Edmund died abt; 1791, Ann maried a James Saxon, of Laurens County, she had two children by him, then they moved to Autauga, Al. 1-Mary Ann[Polly] Craddock married a James C. Mitchell, husband died 7 she moved to Laurens to be with her mother; Ann [ Nancy ] Elmore 2-Ann Craddock 3-Thomas Elmore Craddock b. 1781---moved to Kentucky 4-John [Jack] Craddock ?????? 5-Judith Craddockb. 8/1/1787 6-Edmund Craddock Jr. 5/25/1789???? 7-Archer...........but in the Laurens Bural Cem. Book; it reads William A.[Archibald] Craddock b. 1790 William A. Craddock, married Mary Ann Simpson in Laurens, and he was killed by Samuel Whitworth he is buried atBethany Presbyterian Ch. Cem. Laurens County, S.C. In the 1829 census I find a James Craddock, they spelled his name; Jeams Craddock he has to b a relative of these people or an cousin, he was born in Virginia.
