    1. Tyner, Davis, Young, and Dendy property location
    2. Richard A. Lorenz
    3. The list seems to be relatively inactive, so I am putting on a couple of property records that might be of interest to someone. Deed Book M, page 14, 1826, has Stephen Tiner and wife Sarah selling 154 acres on North Creek to John Davis. Property on road from Black's Store to Laurens Court House. A plat is included that shows the property running west from North Creek across a main-looking road. The property borders John Dunlap on the east, Whited Wilks and James Young on the south, H. W. and John Young on the west, and part of original tract on the north occupied by Joel Tucker. The property was transferred to Stephen Tyner by a court process. (I believe that Black's Store was at Milton). Deed Book O, page 37, 1841, looks like a transfer of the same piece of property. John Davis sells 129 acres in North Creek watershed to Hamm (Harmon?) Miller. 50 ft square at cemetery. On road from Belfast. Borders Wm. Bailey on east, Witehead Wilk, Silas Bailey South, John Young west, Elijah Tribble north. Formerly estate of Wm. Dendy, Esq. Purchased by Stephen Simms? (Tyner??), then to John Davis. I believe that this property was about 3/4 mile south of New China Church, where M. S. Bailey is shown on the 1883 map of Laurens Co. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Hanna" <dlhanna@verizon.net> To: <SCLAUREN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 07, 2006 10:11 AM Subject: Re: [SCLAUREN] Duncans Creek Presbyterian Church > Herb, > > For the location and information regarding the Duncan's Creek Presbyterian > Church see: > > http://www.laurenscounty.org/history/dcreek.html > > and for more details including a cemetery listing see: > > http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/9708/dcem.html > > There is a street address listing shown in a directory at: > > http://laurens.areaconnect.com/churches.htm > > > Dave Hanna > Georgetown, Texas > > Herbert Hendricks wrote: > >>Would like the address/location of Duncans Creek Presbyterian Church. >> >>Also Odell's Chapel which I believe is a little west of Whitmire on the >>Clinton Hwy, route 72. >> >>Thank you for your time an effort. >> >>God Bless. >>Herb Hendricks >>Retired NASA Physicist >>Hendricks DNA Project Group Administrator >>Secretary Hendricks Family Association >>Herb_316@MSN.com<mailto:Herb_316@MSN.com> >>1210 Long Meadow DR >>Lynchburg, VA 24502 >>434 832 7246 >>Major/Smith/Hendricks >>http://www.ftdna.com/public/hendricks/<http://www.ftdna.com/public/hendricks/> >> >> >>============================== >>Jumpstart your genealogy with OneWorldTree. 1. Boggy Br. property (Young, Harris, Garrett, Thompson, etc.
    2. Richard A. Lorenz
    3. Deed Book M, page 246, 1829, has a plat showing property that I believe to be just east of Youngs Store. John D. A. Murphy in trust for heirs of Peter Mazyck (Orangeburg) sold 100 acres on a branch of the Enoree to John Harris. The land was part of a 500 acre grant to Geo. Saxby in 1772, sold to Peter Mazyck in 1772, and then went to his heirs with John D. A. Murphy in trust. The plat shows 100 acres that was sold to Henry Thompson, and other acreage sold to Hannah Garrett. The plat bordered Arch. Young on west, Henry Thompson and John Harris on NE, John Harris and Hezekiah Gray on E, Dr. John N. Young on E. Plat shows Boggy Branch on the northwest side, and Little Beaverdam on the south. (Little Beaverdam is shown as Wallace Branch of Beaverdam on the new Topo maps). Plat also shows road to Youngs Store, the Charleston Road, and a north/south running road to Caldwell's Mill. (I believe that this land is located where the Wallace Lodge and A. W. Burnsid Land are shown on the 1883 map). I do not know of any Caldwells in this vicinity, and would appreciate any information about this person. Related Deeds follow. Deed M-266, 1831, has Hannah Garrett selling 75 acres on Little Beaverdam to Martin Wallis. Part of 365 acres sold to me by John D. A. Murphy in 1829. Borders John Wallace, Hannah Garrett, Henry Thompson and Reuben Fleming. Deed N-112, 1835, Martin Wallis sold 47 1/2 acres on Little Beaverdam to Wilkerson Wallis. First tract 37 acres bordered Reuben Long, Robert Hand Jr., Reuben Fleming, and Martin Wallis. Second tract 10 acres bordered ___mon (Harmon??) Garrett, John Wallace, and Martin Wallace. Deed N-113, 1835, Reuben Fleming and wife Jane sold 65 acres in Beaverdam watershed to Martin Wallis. Bordered Reuben Long, Robert Hand, Reuben Fleming, and Martin Wallis. Deed O-104, 1842, John M. Fleming sold 85 acres in Little Beaverdam watershed to Wilkerson Wallace. Bordered Robert Hand, Dr. J. N. Young Deed O-122, 1842, Henry Thompson sold 4 acres in Boggy Br. watershed to John N. Young. Bordered Henry Thompson and John N. Young Deed O-121, 1842, Archibald Young sold 65 acres on a branch of Durbin Cr. to John N. Young. Bordered Arch. Young, Robt. Hand, and Rebecca S. Ball. A tract owned by C. Terry-- taken ? by Sam Downs, Sheriff, at suit of Nathaniel O. Parks and conveyed to Daniel Higgins, then to Arch. Young in 1825. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard A.
