Hi, Just wanted to let you know that I have added more photos to the Mt. Bethel Cemetery list I have online here: http://www.geocities.com/plwilliamson/Bethel/Photos.html This still isn't all the markers, but maybe about half. I still have a few I couldn't read on the photo and will have to go back and have another look for clarification. Will let you know when I add some more. All: I need help from one of you who is also a rootsweb list owner. I am receiving a digest mode of SCLAUREN-L that looks like it is originating from rootsweb and being sent to both SCLAUREN-L and SCLAUREN-D. It looks to me like everyone subscribed in the list mode is receiving the digest mode, too (not just me). If this is the case, I can not figure out how to make it STOP. This is not happening on any of the other lists I am subscribed too. I can not find anything in the settings that would be causing this--and SCLAUREN-L is not subbed to SCLAUREN-D. I, personally, do not use the digest mode, and I know that those of you who are subbed in the list mode do not want double postings. Of course, maybe this is something that only list owners are receiving? Can any one clue me in? Thanks, Your list owner pulling her hair out, Kathy Duncan
I am in need of a HODGES Look Up. Can any one help. I did find this on Ancestry.com, I need to know who was in the house of these people. Thanks for nay help. I am looking for a Samuel NEIGHBORS (~1760-~1823, Laurens Co., SC) who was the father of at least one child, Mastin/Maston/Martin. There are other Samuel NEIGHBORS/NABORS in Laurens Co., SC, in the 1800s and one of them may be a son of this Samuel also. There is so much confusion with the spelling of the last name. Samuel is listed with NEIGHBORS for most of his records, but his son Mastin (who's first name is really spelled every way possible) seems to start out with the NEIGHBORS spellign and changed to NABORS. Mastin's first name is spelled Maston, Martin, Mason, etc. Any help with the father of Samuel NEIGHBORS, his wife, or other children is greatly appreciated! I have quite a bit of info on this family and will gladly share. I believe that Abraham NEIGHBORS ties into Samuel NEIGHBORS somewhere. Godspeed...and thank you, Dolores M. Pringle
Well......as most of you have probably figured out by now SCLAUREN is back in the subject line. We lost it for a couple of days because of the recent changes with the rootsweb lists. It's a mystery why some settings don't stay set when these changes are made. Kathy Duncan SCLAUREN-L list owner
I realize this is in Spartanburg Co, but can anyone tell me on whose property John Durham and his wife are buried. According to the history of Green Pond Baptist Church, the burial site is near Chicken Foot Branch in Mr. S. M. McCall's pasture. This was published in 1954. Some wrote in the book that in 1977 the owner of this property was Mr. Elliot. We hope to make a trip to SC this summer and would like to try and find these graves. Thank you, Bob Pfennig in New Braunfels, TX __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Auctions - Buy the things you want at great prices. http://auctions.yahoo.com/
I have lists at Rootsweb and they recently did maintenance and it seems some of the settings of this type were lost. I haven't been able to get to my utility page to reset my preferences. This is probably the case with the Laurens list as well. Sharon [email protected] wrote: > > Hi. Just wanted to put my two cents in on this too. Hi. Just wanted to put my two cents in on this too. I would really appreciate having the Laurens back in the subject line automatically with every email. I don't know why it stopped, but I really think it is better and it helps alot. Helps me to know which emails to open. Will the list-owner please respond? Why did this change? Sue
I agree; this is a big help for those of us who get 100s of emails every day. James P. "Jim" Lynch [email protected]
Is there anyway to get SCLauren-L to show up in each subject line of each email? It would be a BIG help for those of us with hundreds of email each day. Some of my lists do show this, such as: subj: [NCROOTS] Lawsuit update subj: [lgrone] Betty Vaughn Smith or [GATALBOT] Spinks in Georgia Thanks for considering this option, Glenna ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Researching: (1) Porter, McCants, Cobb, Martin, Rawlinson, Gill, Higgins, Scott, Harrison, Fetner; (2) Bryant, McDade, Dillard, Tolleson, Wells, Baxter, Eaves; (3) Kinard, Wise, Thaxton, Vickers, Patton, Hubbard, Wilkins, Long/Lang, Latta (Branch 28), Mauldin, Dismukes. Please direct all correspondence to: [email protected] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Has this List lost the title of the county in the subject line? I am on several List, I like to be able to see the name of the subject I open it, due to so many viruses, I do not open mail that I do not know which List that it is from. This has happen on several of the Rootsweb List that I am on over the past few days, Is this a Rootsweb problem, or what? Thanks Peggy Sue O'Shields-Gaddis [email protected]
Nathaniel VANCE is listed on the 1790 census of Laurens district, I need to obtain land deeds showing when he purchased land in the district. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Julie

There is a James Hall Estate in the Abbeville Dist. Wills and Bonds. Dated November 8, 1782...admn by Mary, Wm. Hall. Box 46 Pack 1039 and on page 148 of the above mentioned book.. Bernice
Need parents, siblings of James Hall, b. probably between 1762-1772 m. Mary George, daughter of John George and Jennie Ford, sister to Andrew George. James Hall died in Caldwell County Ky 11-13-1822. He was made guardian of the daughter of a Joseph Hall about 1813. I assume this to be a brother, as it is not one of his children. Other possible brothers Charles and Martin. I have hunted this family for over 40 years and keep hitting the old "brick wall". If anyone knows anything about this Hall family please let me know. I know he was in Laurens in 1800. He was in Caldwell Co., Ky in 1810. Also Martin Hall came to Caldwell Co., Ky the same time. I believe these two men were brothers as both families married into the Thompson, George, Langston families. James Hall had a son that married Prudence Thompson, daughter of James Thompson and Rachael George. Martin Hall had a son that married Rachael Matilda Thompson, daughter of James Thompson and Rachael George. Any information at all would be helpful and appreciated. Sue
Searching for information on a Joseph Thompson, 1755-1765, married a Mary ? I only have one known child and not much information on him. James Thompson m. abt. 1805 to Rachael George, daughter of Andrew George and Sarah Langston. If anyone has any information about this family I would be eternally grateful. Thanks. Sue
This is not much help, but Leroy is in the 1830 census, perhaps living 3 miles northeast of Waterloo, age 20-30. Location not very accurate. Richard Lorenz

Not sure of the " B " in Mary B., is the initial for her middle name or maybe her median name. They did moved on to Abbeville Co., SC., some where in the 1820 and then to Jefferson Co., Alabama about 1840's. Here are a couple of other names if any one has them in their file or knows anything. These two people were in the Jefferson Co., 1860 Census in Jefferson Co., Ala. but are connected some how: Richerson HODGES 32 laborer b SC 1860 Wesley HODGES 31 blacksmith b SC 1860 Thanks for any help [email protected] Peggy Sue O'Shields-Gaddis
