I have also checked Lancaster County, to no avail. ================= Bill, Next time I am in the FHL would you like me to check the Accelerated Index file under Stratford and see if I can find your 5xg/grandfather? Don't know if you are familiar with this file or not but it is divided by groups of years and you look up the name and it gives EVERY (in your case) Stratford from EVERY state and county for that particular year or group of years.. It is an excellent source for tracking the elusive or nomadish ancestor. It also eliminates ordering films which will not have your ancestor on them. The microfiche gives: Name County State Household Number District/Ward/Township/or says No Twp Listed Type of census (Tax, Rents, etc.) Year of Census Be glad to look for you if you have not pursued that avenue.
