Would appreciate any help in identifying the Bakers listed as members of the Mount Sion Society. This could be spelled "Mount Zion", but my notes have Mount Sion. "Members of the Mount Sion Society 1777. General Assembly--An act for incorporating a Society, commonly called Mount Sion Society for the purpose of founding, endowing and supporting a public School in the District of Camden for the Education and Instruction of Youth. Jesse Baker February 13, 1778; Benjamin Baker May 28, 1778; Thomas Baker May 23, 1783; James Baker September 3, 1784." I do not know the source of this information that I received from a fellow researcher, but it is probably part of the records of the legislature for Camden District. Does anyone have any records of a Baker family in Lancaster or Fairfield Counties , 1778-1784, with these given names? Elizabeth Baker
