Dear LuAnn, I have Nichols ancestors. The earliest one that I have information on is William Nichols who was found in records in Nancemond County, Va early on.. His descendents moved on probably through SC to Ga where my gggrandfather was Jonathan Nichols, a Baptist Minister. His sons were Joel (my gggrandfather, also a Baptist minister in Ga and AL). Henry and William. Joel`a daughter, Mary Elizabeth married my gggrandfather, Wingate Jackson, in Lee County, Al.
