> I have one Belk in my tree: > > Hannah Belk b. 1811, m. William Blackmon > > children: Delilah Jane Blackmon and Sara Ida Blackmon I hope this ain't a private conversation going here, cause I have BELKs and BLACKMONs in my maternal tree. I'm not blood kin to the BELKs, but am to the BLACKMONs. I also have a connection to the BELK family thru my BAKER line in Flat Creek. The William W. BLACKMON [b. 1 Apr 1808 - 8 Apr 1877] was married to Hannah BELK [no known dates or bio on her]. My connection here would be back a couple of generations at James BLACKMON [the emigrant from Scotland] and his wife [also from Scotland], Anna CLARK. My line comes off of one of the other children of James and Anna, their son Wylie. I would be interested in more conversation with this. I would also be very interested in finding out if anybody has info on John M. BELK [b. @ 1825'ish] who married Elisheba Jane BAKER, of the Flat Creek Twp area. Bill Hughes [email protected]
