I also have Lancaster County Hilton. Per what I have seen, the Lancaster Hilton (Helton) are all kin to Richard born 1720 in PA and died in Lancaster in 1789.Sons James H (1764-1845) (my grgrgrgr grandfather), Samuel (1765-1826), William and a daughter Martha C. I would be happy to swap GEDCOM's are report files. E Helton(Hilton), James P. born abt. 1822 Helton(Hilton), John born abt. 1814 Baker,B.F. born abt. 1839. My g-g grandfather William Joseph Helton(Hilton) was born in Lancaster County,SC in 1799. Six of his sons served in the Confederacy thrrough the state of AL. I am hoping the two Helton's listed are children of his brothers. If I can prove the relationship and provide you with more detail, I will. I have found Samuel Helton(Hilton) on the 1800 Census Roll from Lancaster County but no evidence yet of a will or Baptism records. Am checking out land records.
