I show William Ruffin Bennett married to Sarah Ann Comfort Mackey, daughter of Andrew Jackson and Sara Elizabeth Douglas Mackey. She was pretty old (23) so she may very have been a widow. In the 1860 census, in William and Comfort's house is a 7 year old Allece (female) and I assumed it was from a prior marriage. The preacher's name was Reverend William Figuars Brasington, a well known baptist preacher and my grea great grandfather. Ruggin Bennett 1834-1861. Was Bennett her third marriage? (Mackey; Lambeth; Bennett) Lambeth apparently was not listed on tombstone. Did she have children by any of the husbands, especially the Lambeth? Seeking any information on the Samuel Lambeth family of Lancaster Co., SC. Thank you.
