As all of us who have tried to work with the 1850, frustration is the keyword. Kershaw County has published a great Expanded 1850 Census. Any interest in joining with me to do like wise? I see it is a huge GEDCOM, starting with the census and expanding full names and adding dates and locations, marriage data, and military service. A general research tool to be shared. I assume we can find an online home for it. I volunteer to be the focus for the gathering of such a group, unless someone else would like the task. GEDCOM to me and I would do the cutting and pasteing. To be effective, I would like a source of the data. No need to send just 1850 families, if you do not know who to subset your data. No use building off of 4th or 5th hand data. Enough bad data out there (Rev William Figures Brasington was NOT born in England but in Sumter County, SC) not to mention bogus family connections.
