Tracey, I don't have access to the census, but I have a John Montgomery who was probably in Lancaster County in the early 19th century. He is the son of Robert Montgomery (b.1765 SC) and Rebecca Coffee (b. 1774 SC). I don't have a birth date for him, but he had siblings born in 1804, 1808, and 1815. He is supposed to have married a woman named "Aggie". I have no record of any children he might have had. This John is the brother of my great, great grandfather, Hugh Montgomery.
