    3. Thanks for your response. I cannot tell you the excitement I feel over the possible link. I have been searching for six years to find family of William. Will be happy to swap GEDCOM with you. I am not good aboput sending them by computer though. I usually end up sending them by snail mail. My Helton research is 100 pages. William Joseph was born in Lancaster County, SC in 1799(Church records from AL) 1798 by family legend. He married Elizabeth Moore, born abt. 1800 in SC where she was also born. I find he and Elizabeth in AL(Monore County) in 1830 Census. There is also William Helton listed on 1830 Census Index for Lancaster County, SC. H 435 Lancaster Co SC Helton William M-019 173 083 NdRcd. I still have to get a copy of this actual image to see if description might fit my William and Elizabeth. Their first two children were girls, Mary N., bornAugust 5, 1824 and Rebecca, born 1826. My information on location of birth for the two comes from 1850 Census Records that say AL was birthplace. Family history says the two girls were born in SC before they arrived in AL. Do you think it posssible for William to be counted on Census in SC and AL for 1830? I do not have a month for 1830 Census project in either place. William and Elizabeth had nine children : 3) William Joseph, Jr., born 1830 ( 1880 census states AL) 4) Isaac M., born Nov 22, 1831 ( 1880 Census states SC) 5) Jeremiah F., born 1835 in AL. 6) James Monroe, born Jan 22, 1837 in AL. 7) John Alexander, born May 10, 1839 in Tunnel Springs, AL(My great grandfather) 8) Sarah J. born 1842, a twin. 9) Thomas born in 1842, a twin. Elizabeth died of complications from childbirth of twins in 1842. William married again in 1843 to Mary Ann White, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth McCammon White. Thomas died in Fishing Creek(Chester County, SC) Mary Ann was born in 1822. William and Mary Ann had five more children. Henry Clay born in 1847; Joseph White born in 1849; M. Sophronia "Phronie" born Dec 24, 1856; Maryan G."Mamie"; Jefferson D."Jeff" born Aug 12, 1861. All six of William and Elizabeth's sons fought for the Confederacy. Thomas was killed. I wonder if the naming pattern has any resemblance to naming pattern in your link. William appeared to have money because he bought land right away in AL. Hope to hear from you soon.
