Does anyone know anything about a John Helton listed in the 1850 census? He is the head of household, and is a 33 year old male. In his household is a 14 year old female, "L". This is the girlie I'm interested in <g>. (Darned census taker -- why didn't he write the whole name???) I'm looking for a Levena Helton, and so far, this is the only female "L" in the area I've found that would be the right age. My Levena married Cader Deason in 1854. If anyone knows anything about this family, I'd be eternally grateful. Right now I don't have enough to know whether I'm even on the right track or not!
