I’ve been looking for a Parker family and McManus family connection in South Carolina as well, and James Parker McManus might be a clue. My grandfather Clarence B. Parker said that his cousin is Rev. Msgr. J. Fleming McManus both of them are from Columbia South Carolina. I have found a McManus obituary that mentions Fleming McManus, his brother, my Grandfather and his brother all as cousins. My grandfather has passed and I’m trying to get in touch with his only living brother to see if he knows anything about the McManus-Parker connection. It would seem rather simple given that I know they are cousins but I’ve hit a wall searching for anyone related to my grandfather’s parents James Oscar Parker and Mary Fleming Parker. One of their brothers or sisters is most likely married to or is a McManus. That’s the best I’ve got. -dp > > > > > ==== SCLANCAS Mailing List ==== > Web page with info for this list - http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/SC/lancaster.html > > ============================== > OneWorldTree - The World's largest family tree.
