    1. RE: [SCLANCAS] LISTOWNER POST - Thanksgiving Dinner
    2. Cliff and Sheryl Townsend
    3. If I could have one of my ancestors with me for Thanksgiving dinner I would choose my great-great grandfather, Samuel Rowell. He was born around 1800 and lived in Lancaster County in the 1850's and 1860's. I do not know when he arrived in Lancaster County but lived at the Wild Cat PO area. Samuel was married to Lavinia. Their son James H. (Harvey) was my great grandfather. He was born in SC; 11 May 1826. So we know the family was there at that time. I do not know what happend to Lavinia but Samuel married again to Molsey Plyler. They lived in Lancaster County for a few years before moving to Goose Creek, Union County, North Carolina. He and Molsey had another family: Joseph, John, Nancy, George and Julis. If anyone should know of Samuel's where abouts please invite him to dinner for me so we can talk about his life. I am anxious to know more about him and his family including his parents and siblings. Thank you, Sheryl Rowell -----Original Message----- Those of us in the USA will soon be celebrating Thanksgiving. Listmembers, if you could have ONE of your ancestors who lived in this county join you for Thanksgiving dinner, which ancestor would you invite? Please send a post to the list telling us about this ancestor - and please remember to include the dates he/she lived in the county. Carol C-H <cch@netdoor.com> http://www2.netdoor.com/~cch/
