Don't know how much help this is: John T. Copeland, 1819-1897, with William Jackson Stogner, (my 5th gr-gdfa), loaned Dudley Haile money on a tract of land in 1872, Lancaster. John T. Copeland also witnessed a document for William Stogner's daughter, Mary, in 1872, Lancaster. Now, William's daughter, Christina Jane Stogner, married James Granderson Rowell. After Christina died, James second married Addie Copeland. That was her married name, as she had a son, John Copeland, who died in Mecklenburg Co., NC from auto injuries in 1946. We have been trying to find the husband of Addie Copeland, John's father, to no avail. If you find more on the Copeland family, please let me know. Thanks.
