Hi Fran, How are you? I was just wondering how your COOK research is going! I'm still on the trail of my Camden County, SC-born, border-of-TN/NC Sheriff and GGrandfather John Cook. (ca1850-1920) Do you remember that you told me that you'd read somewhere about John's Fourth of July picnics? I'm still determined to find a newspaper, book or court record that confirms anything about his life. Did you ever come across that story about him? People did lookups for Ol' John in the Dr. Bill books. However, no one found mention of him. Well, I just wanted to keep in touch with you.
