Alice Baker gave these directions earlier for Old Waxhaw Presbyterian church: If you are going from Lancaster, go west on Hwy 9 Bypass until you get to the turn off to the Riverside Road (and Van Wyck) and take that; stay on it and about a mile after you cross the railroad tracks there will be a fork in the road; go right on Old Hickory Road and the church will be on your right. If you are coming from toward Charlotte, come down Hwy 521 until after you pass Hwy 5 and Waxhaw Creek you will see a store on the right hand side; it is the North Corner store. Turn right and go (about 2 miles) until you run into Old Hickory Road and turn left. It's about 2 miles to the church, I believe, and it will be on the left hand side.
