    3. I have the name....John Henry Bleiler...who was married to Maria Christina Reinhart. I have only two children listed for them (which doesn't mean they are the only two). They are Conrad Plyler b. 1752, & Barbara Plyler-Hovis b. 1765. There could easily be more children if these dates are correct, or even close. Doris....A Texan in Georgia..... still shaking the family tree and dodging the nuts after 30+ years!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: <Ngchesnutt@aol.com> Subject: [L'caster] Plyer > Does anyone have a Catherine Plyer (14 Nov 1762-13 May 1842) married to Hans > Adam Christopher Teem or Team? 2. Please excuse the complaint, but it would be nicer if folks would edit their notes so that they're not sending huge quotes from past msgs.....I just got hit w/the same info found here, repeated over & over in several notes - Also this same info is given in another List w/the same problem. Please, just edit so you quote only what's necessary... Thanks so much, Sarah

    3. Doris, I do not belong to the Plyler or the Belk families but my lines were in Lancaster Co. SC and also in Union Co. NC. My families were the Rowell, Small and Deason. My 2nd great grandfather was Samuel Rowell he did marry a Plyler after my great grandmother died (I assume). She was Molsey Plyler, they raised another family in Goose Creek, Union Co. NC. Do you know of any of my ancestors? Just wondering, I know some of the Rowell's married Plyler, Belks and other families of the area. My great grandfather James Harvey Rowell moved his family to Hopkins Co. TX in the late 1860's My great grandmother was Sarah Ann Small d/o Joel B. Small s/o Thomas Small & Ronea Stephens thanks, Sheryl Rowell Townsend -----Original Message----- I'm very interested in the family you mention....the name Beven, especially. Have you any idea where it came from? Our Plylers were from the area that was Lancaster Co SC, very near (possibly crossing) the state line into [what later was] Union Co NC. I think there's still a road named Plylers Mill Rd in Union Co NC...it's close to the Belk property. I think they must have lived south of the Belk property, near or on the state line---of course, that line seemed to wander about back then. Several of the Plylers married Belks, and some of them went to AL after 1830. I'll send what I have on Plylers if you want. Doris....A Texan in Georgia..... still shaking the family tree and dodging the nuts after 30+ years!!!

    3. I have 40-45 names listed, almost all are from 1790 to 1900 (roughly). I don't have the names you listed. My interest in the name Beven is from another researcher who says the name Bevins/Bivens seems to be interchangeable with the name Bibby, which is my ancestor's name. I thought maybe he could have a connection to the same family, but I don't have a connection that I can see. If you want, I can send you the Plylers I do have.... 3. Bevan Plyler shows up on the 1930 census. He lived in Gills Creek, Lancaster Co., SC. His wife was Lillie. They had one son: Asher (1918). They had three daughters: Eula (1920), Edna (1926), and Thelma (1930). The family also appears on the 1920 census with the exception of the 3 daughters. Bevan Plyler was my great-grandmother's brother. He would be my great-great uncle. What Plyler's are on your family tree? 3. I'm very interested in the family you mention....the name Beven, especially. 3. My grandmother was Maude Virginia Plyler. She was the daughter of George Plyler. Not sure if that is his first name. Her mother or stepmother was someone named Sarah McManus. Her mother died when the children were young and then the father remarried. We know that there are many Plyler's buried in the Liberty Hill Cemetery in SC. I'm unable to get there and do the research. Maude had something like 10-12 brothers and sisters. Henry, George, Beven, were some. We don't know all of their names. Which Plyler's are you related to? Mine were from Lancaster, Chesterfield, and Union county SC. 3. Alice Baker gave these directions earlier for Old Waxhaw Presbyterian church: If you are going from Lancaster, go west on Hwy 9 Bypass until you get to the turn off to the Riverside Road (and Van Wyck) and take that; stay on it and about a mile after you cross the railroad tracks there will be a fork in the road; go right on Old Hickory Road and the church will be on your right. If you are coming from toward Charlotte, come down Hwy 521 until after you pass Hwy 5 and Waxhaw Creek you will see a store on the right hand side; it is the North Corner store. Turn right and go (about 2 miles) until you run into Old Hickory Road and turn left. It's about 2 miles to the church, I believe, and it will be on the left hand side.
