    3. There is a book available through Amazon (or was it Barnes and Noble?) regarding the "Great Wagon Road from PA" to the South. It starts before 1760. It was written in the 1970s by Parke Rouse, Jr. and is available in its second printing. I have found it to be very informative and delightful reading. It goes into depth about our area. In paperback it was only $12.50 and was recommended to my be Louise Pettus. You should be able to find it doing a search of either site for the author. My apologies for not being more specific but I have put it somewhere and can't find it! 2. I have identified that some, if not many, citizens of Lancaster Co SC and York Co originated from Rockbridge or Augusta Co Va, at least the Cousart, Huston, Dunlaps, Ware (see below). Also the founder of the first Prebyterian church Craighead was coming from the Scots Irish settlement of Rockbridge Va. This migration took place between 1760 and 1800; this might be an evidence to many of you but I just found it. My question: Is anyone knowing some good reference books describing this migration? 3. Doe anyone know anything about the family of Joel Strain (deceased before 1880)? His wife was Rachel MNU (deceased by 1890). One of their daughters married my great grandfather, William Jones. I would like to find out more about this family. The daughter who married my great grandfather was Elizabeth "Lizzie" J. Strain. Any help will be appreciated.
