I dont't have a lot of info on the Sly family but just a tidbit. When I was about 16 years old (I am 67 yrs. now) I took steel guitar lessons from a man named Sly who told me he was Roy Rogers's cousin. That was in Torrance, CA. I remember a first name of Leonard. That would have been either Roy's first name or the person I took lessons from. I remember after about a year of lessons, I won first place in a "Steel Guitar Rag" contest.
