There were two John Haltermans in Jackson/Scioto/Pike Cos. before 1830. One was my ancestor b. ca. 1800. The other was older and I have not been able to identify him. My John married Sarah Crabtree in 1829 and was probably killed in the Mexican War in 1849. I think the older John was the son of Jacob of Shenandoah but do not have a shred of proof. Does anyone have any info on either of these people? Thanx
