Hello, I am wondering if anyone on the list can tell me where this township was located before Jackson became Jackson Co. Was it in Ross?? Where would marriages previous to this being a county for this area be located? I have many different families in Franklin Township, Jackson Co. Ohio and they were there before 1800 or at least a couple of them were. Chapman, James; Radcliff, David; Mercer, Levi, Martin, Wm.; Cantwell, John. Also possible connection to Obediah Ragsdale family through a marriage of Mrs. Sarah Chapman and Berry Ragsdale in 1815. Any assistance will be much appreciated and will of course exchange.
