William and Maria (DETALENTE) DAVIS purchased land in Jackson Twp. on or near S.R. 335 in the area that is now between Strait Creek & Walker Ridge Rd. from the Treasurer of Pike co. for back taxes. Wm. & Maria were married in Gallia Co. Ohio 1840's but Wm. Was born in or near Lisbon, Columbiana Co. Ohio. Would like to know his parents or siblings. One may have been Elizabeth who married Maria's brother Eugene DETALENTE also in Gallia Co. Both couples are buried in the little cemetery on Linn Hill, S.R. 335.
