My family lived in the Lower Scioto Valley from the mid 1800's on. First known record of my GGgrandfather Alexander Henderson was the 1850 census in Jackson County. Scioto Twp. They raised 7 children here. Alexander died in Vinton County Elk Twp. in 1876. The first six children were born in PA. The last born in Ohio. Surnames: Henderson, Shaffer, Lake and Koons.
