I need help finishing up the readings for Jackson Twp. Pike co. Ohio cemeteries for the Pike Co. Genealogical Society. If anyone is available, I'd appreciate the help. I can either give you a cemetery or join you to "read". I'd like to have this project completed by the end of summer. I am also interested in information on anyone who died in Pike Co. who is buried without a marker or the marker has disappeared. I would appreciate you passing this message on to anyone else you know who might have Pike Co. interests. Thanks in advance. Carol
Have you looked your people up in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 census? All are "indexed" by soundex and miracode (a way to "index" by using the first initial of the last name and then numbers for other consonants.) Most genealogy libraries have pages on instructions, if you're not located close to a genealogy library who has all of the Ohio census, you can order them through inter-library loan at your regular or College Libraries or through your Local Family History Center. if all else fails, you can rent them directly from the National Archives, your local library will have the address. This will give you some information. What information are you looking for? Carol

Does anyone have the address for the township trustees of three locks cemetary, it is in disarrary, with the exception of the families that do their own. In Franklin Township, Ross County. There is no sign of my grandpa, Fred Darling or his brother, Charles. There is dirt piles, up a dirt lane, surrounded by houses, both sides, fencerow butted up against stones, broken stones, ones leaning on the edge, war markers throwed in dirt piles, homemade stones, weeds. One big hill. May the township trustees could send me a map. Thanks, Judy

Hey people, awhile back a lady was inquiring about ross and pike counties, the part that used to be pike became ross, I was curious to the response to her question, but it was addressed solely to her, if someone has this history and is willing to post it so everyone can see it, I would be grateful, thank you. I was especially curious about Franklin twp. and the dates, and the whole thing, I have read bits and pieces but dismissed it from my mind, and was wondering about the particulars aka facts again. I got to do alot of housework, but will be checking back after awhile. God bless, Judy Lee Researching Barnhart, Hart, Steele, Steel, Peters, Penwell, Merriman, Darling
