Hello-I am looking for a death record or obit on Abram Parscal, town of Warren, Co.of Jefferson. He was on the 1880 census and was 85 years old so I think he probably died after that date. Can anyone help me or give me help where to go to look? thanks. ellie parscal spearman

After c1922, birth records (and/or certificates) are housed at the County Board of Health office. There are some records 1856-1862; none 1862-1867; and spotty (at best) between 1867-c1900. The addresses for both record locations are posted at the Scioto Co site for your reference: http://www.scioto.org/Scioto/ Happy Hunting! hello again. i think i have lost my mind. i forgot to ask this also. i was told by a former employee at the courthouse in portsmouth that my gr gr grandfather, Robert BENNETT was very often in the court records. some times because he was a troublemaker and the main one because it took him twenty years to get a divorce from his wife Catherine.(he had no grounds and she was being stubborn) anyway if anyone could get me a copy of some of his activities out of the records including his historic try for a divorce(not sure he ever got it) i would be greatful. i know its there for sure. this would be about 1760-75 perhaps. anything on him would be appreciated. than you . maggie coughlan

Hello Everyone, I'm sending this letter to quite a few groups of people, so it's pretty generic. My daughter asked me to make a webpage for Hunter Gale, my Grandson. I have one started and I will try to put updates on what is going on with his life and some recent pictures as I get them. This is just started so all I have is pictures and links to his ACC website, along with his ACC friends. Please take the time to visit the ACC website. These children are very special and can also use all the prayers and support that you can give. http://home.switchboard.com/HunterGale Please feel free to visit anytime. I won't be updating through email anymore, so add this to your bookmark and visit every month or so for updates. Thank-you so much for the prayers and support that all of you have given, it's made a difference. For over the last 3 months Hunter's health has been great up until last week. He has an ear infection right now, along with a case of Hand-Foot-Mouth disease. None of the two are that bad. He also cut his first tooth in the last two weeks. Thanks again, Mark Meinhart ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1

One of the many lines I'm stuck on is SITTASON, which I suspect might be a variation of SISSON. I see Sisson in Gallia County in the 1820's, and elsewhere in the region, and wonder about a relationship. The best I can do on Sittason is a Sitsun in Indianapolis, a civil war soldier. If there is anyone on the list who's been working the Sisson line, I'd sure like to ask some questions to see if this worth persuing. I'm just fishing here, I freely admit. Thanks for the help. Hi! I'm new to this list, and I'm wondering if anybody is researching the LORD family who lived in Scioto Co., OH before travelling to IL. I've been working on the LORD branch of my family, and I've run into a brick wall, so to speak. The ancestor I'm researching is A.K. LORD, born about 1822. He married Susannah MC MULLENS, born about 1818. She had been married and had two children by this marriage; I don't know her maiden name. There is confusion about A.K. LORD's name. On his marriage record (April 24, 1845) to Susannah, his name is reported as "Alexander". I have other sources that indicate his name was Abner Kern LORD. I have even seen his name reported as being Albert. In 1850, here's the census info. for this couple: Jefferson Twp., Scioto County, Ohio Lord, A.K., 39 ( My not: probably 29) , laborer, OH " " , Susannah, 31, OH Mc Mullen, Mary, 13, OH " " , Joseph, 11, OH Lord, John, 4, OH " " , Albert, 2, OH " " , John, 24, laborer, OH By 1860, they had moved to Piatt Co., IL. Here's the census info. Willow Branch Twp., Piatt Co., IL, p. 4 Lord, Henry, 39, Wagon Maker, 6000, 300, OH Lucinda, 32, IN Mary E., 11, IL John, 10, IL William M., 5, IL Lucinda, 1, IL Two houses away: Lord, A.K., 38, farmer, OH Susannah, 42, OH John, 15, OH Albert, 14, OH Eliza J., 11, OH Sarah E., 8, OH Frank, 4, IL Froman, John, 21, farm labor, KY Knaman?, J., 20, farm labor, KY Williams, M., 20, farm labor, TN (The age for Eliza Lord is proably wrong; I think she was 9 at this time.) Anyway, does anybody know about this family? I think that Henry and John LORD were probably brothers of A.K. LORD. There was also the following marriages in Scioto Co., OH about the same time as A.K. LORD's marriage to Susannah. They could be sisters. Lord, Nancy Sp : Hood, George M : Mar 21, 1844 County : Scioto Co. Sex : F Lord, Eliza Sp : Lord, Ezra F. M : Nov 22, 1845 County : Scioto Co. Sex : F If you know anything about this family, please contact me! Thanks. Beth BSmith7439@aol.com

Can anyone tell me if there is any information available on the Sly family. This would be the family of Roy Rogers. Thanks for any help, Karen S. Smith
I dont't have a lot of info on the Sly family but just a tidbit. When I was about 16 years old (I am 67 yrs. now) I took steel guitar lessons from a man named Sly who told me he was Roy Rogers's cousin. That was in Torrance, CA. I remember a first name of Leonard. That would have been either Roy's first name or the person I took lessons from. I remember after about a year of lessons, I won first place in a "Steel Guitar Rag" contest. I stiff have the guitar and still remember how to play the tune. Ed Glover San Pedro, CA
