    1. [Scioto-Valley-OH-L] Hunter Gale(My Grandson)-NOT GENEALOGY
    2. Mark Meinhart
    3. Hello Everyone, I'm sending this letter, again, to quite a few groups of people, so it's pretty generic. I put together several email lists and there were so many people I did not send this too the last time, and this will be my last time, so thanks for being patient. You may receive this letter twice, if you are on more than one of my list, sorry about that. If you visited the web site over a month ago, take another visit, its changed quite a bit. It has several updates and explanation of my grandson's condition, ACC. My daughter asked me to make a webpage for Hunter Gale, my Grandson. I have one started and I will try to put updates on what is going on with his life and some recent pictures as I get them. This is just started so all I have is pictures and links to his ACC website, along with his ACC friends. Please take the time to visit the ACC website. These children are very special and can also use all the prayers and support that you can give. http://home.switchboard.com/HunterGale Please feel free to visit anytime. I won't be updating through email anymore, so add this to your bookmark and visit every month or so for updates. Thank-you so much for the prayers and support that all of you have given, it's made a difference. For over the last 4 months Hunter's health has been great. Thanks again, Mark Meinhart ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1

    1. [Scioto-Valley-OH-L] Re: Wheelersburg cemetary
    2. Ed Locker
    3. I have a Mary (nee Cameron) KIECKBACH buried in Wheelersburg cemetary in 1919, according to the Ohio veteran's grave registry (Mary was a nurse for the Union side in the Civil War). She is listed as having an upright stone but the listing on the Scioto web site doesn't include her. I know that many headstones were damaged by a tornado in the 1960s and it might be that Mary's stone was one of those. My question is whether this cemetary is still in operation and if there is a caretaker (address?). As a veteran, Mary is eligible for a replacement headstone and as her relatives we would like to see her receive her veteran's recognition. The graves registry lists the section and lot so we should be able to find her. Thanks Ed Locker

    2. Ken Kistner
    3. I am trying to locate my gg-grandparents. I was informed this past weekend that my g-grandfather was born in the Chillicothe area by an eighty-two year old cousin of my mother's that I just located. This is quite an awakening since I have been searching for two years in the Mississippi-Alabama area. The story goes that William Thomas Brown born 13 Jun 1853 and a brother by the name George left Ohio and settled in the Madison County, MS area. From an old school project by my oldest sister I have his parents as Henry Brown and Mary _____. Any information on this set of Brown's would be greatly appreciated or if anyone doesn't mind checking the 1860 Ross County census for a Henry Brown with wife Mary and sons (I don't know if this is the only two children) - George and William Thomas I would be more than thankful. LINDA

    1. [Scioto-Valley-OH-L] surname Starr
    2. John Giacoletti
    3. I don't see any immediate connections, but this is possibly the same Starr family. My grandfather and his sister were born on H.C. Starr's farm in Coopersville, Pike Co., OH., my grandfather Charles Robert Myers b. 12/6/87 and my great aunt Annie Dora Myers born a year earlier in 1886. My 2nd. great grandfather John R. Myers, b. c. 1843 married Mary Jane Johnson August 11, 1863. Mary Jane Johnson's mother was Nancy Starr who was H.C. Starr's daughter. The Starr farm is now owned and occupied by a McClay and I have corresponded with his wife. In the 1950's there was a distribution of assets to an estate from a deceased Starr in Iowa. In addition to Myers and McClay, there were also Cowan's intermarried with branches of the Starrs. >>>>Looking for information on Samuel Starr he died in Pike Co Ohio in 1837 he was born in Chester Co., Pa in 1771. His father's name was Moses Starr. His wife's name was Rebecca and they had several children one of which was Catherine Starr who married Jacob Chadd in Pike Co 26 June 1826. Thank you for any info you might be able to help me with. Oh yes from his will I have the following childrens names Henry Starr Jeremiah Starr Elizabeth Starr married name Carter James Starr Catherine Starr married name Chadd Nancy Starr married name Cooper Elizabeth Starr married name Armstrong Maria Starr married to Wall Maria was desceased at the time her father wrote the will. 1. [Scioto-Valley-OH-L] Re: surname: KIECKBACH
    2. Ed Locker
    3. Looking for any information about Maurice KIECKBACH. He is listed in the 1865 Portsmouth city directory as a physician and surgeon with office and residence in Portsmouth. I do not have access to any other city directories (found this one in an obscure collection on a business trip). I suspect he may have also been in Wheelersburg in this timeframe, as his wife, Mary (nee CAMERON) and surviving son, Maurice (sometimes spelt as KIECKBAH and KICKBACK) appear spotily in other sources. I also found an apparent son, (Abr. KECKBAUGH, not known if this child survived) living with Amanda CAMERON, Mary's mother, in the 1870 Porter township census. Can anyone check city directories for Portsmouth and Wheelersburg for this timeframe (1860 - 1880)? Thanks Ed Locker
