James Ralph Adams, age 80, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Adams was a native of Horry County, and the son of the late George Lenton Adams, and Ruth Glasgow Adams. He was retired from the Civil Service with 30 years of service. Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Beverly D. Adams, sons Greg Adams and wife Angie of Fayetteville, NC, Pat Adams and wife Maria of Socastee, three granddaughters, Lauren Adams, Christine and Cassie Dunavant. He was preceded in death by sons Michael Adams and Leonard Adams, brothers Holmes Adams, William Adams, and Elzie Adams. Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM Friday in the Goldfinch Funeral Home Conway Chapel by Chaplain Jeff Wallace. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM in the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
