Rev. McLeod Strickland, age 91, died Monday (April 26, 2010) in Conway Manor, Conway, S.C. He was born in Horry County, S.C., the son of the late Carl Bruce Strickland and Alice Faye Johnson Strickland. He was a Veteran of the US Army WW II. He is survived by two sons: Charles "Chuck" M. Strickland of Surfside Beach; Larry Strickland of Conway, S.C.; three daughters: Frances Ward of Hallsboro, N.C.; Sylvia Beckham of Aynor, S.C.; Glenda Gasque of Conway, S.C.; one sister: Blannie Watson of Richmond, VA; two brothers: Barney Fussell Strickland of Green Sea, S.C.; Grady Strickland of Greensboro, N.C.; Fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday (April 29, 2010) at 11 AM in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
