Mrs. Madge Stevens Hardee, age 83, died Saturday morning, April 17, 2010, at Loris Community Hospital following an illness. Born September 19, 1926 in Tabor City, NC, she was the daughter of Mr. H. D. Stevens and Mrs. Frances Jones Stevens. Mrs. Stevens was a farmer and homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Loris, SC. Survivors include her two sons: Ronald S. Hardee of Loris, SC, and Grant Stevens and wife Camelia of Johnsonville, SC; three granddaughters: Mandy Hardee of Loris, SC, Abby Stevens of Johnsonville, SC, and Ashley Cribb of Iowa; two great-grandchildren: Logan Johnston of Loris, SC and Carson Graham of Johnsonville, SC; and one brother: H. D. "Bill" Stevens and wife Eunice of Tabor City, NC. Mrs. Hardee was predeceased by her parents, her husband: Doctor Henslee Hardee; and four brothers: Vernon, Wayne, Junior, and Bermey Stevens. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with committal services following at Patterson Cemetery. Dr. Tim Osment will officiate services.
