Jimmy R. Hyman, age 78, of Juniper Bay Road, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Hyman was born in Conway, a son of the late Mack Washington and Pearl Singleton Hyman. He attended Juniper Bay Baptist Church and was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Mr. Hyman was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Wolverine Brass for 33 years. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine H. Brown. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Henry Saunders and his staff and to Agape Hospice Staff for the care they gave Mr. Hyman. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Nadine S. Hyman of Conway, three daughters, Candy H. Johnson, Jennie L. Hyman and Monica H. Mew and her husband, James, all of Conway, five grandchildren, Michelle J. McSpadden and her husband, Andrew, Ashley R. Johnson and his wife, Ashley L., Blaklyn F. Mew, Karsen L. Mew, and Corbin J. Mew all of Conway, one sister, Mary Elvis and her husband, Roger of Conway and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Juniper Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Hord and Rev. Lindsay Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
