Mrs. Earline Lottie Hewitt Powers, 76, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet after an illness. Mrs. Powers was born November 22, 1933 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Hosey Fulton Hewitt and the late Esther Henderson Hewitt. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mrs. Powers are: a Daughter: Christine (Steve) Canaday of St. George; 5 Sons: James Douglas Causey of Socastee, Hosey H. (Angel) Causey of Conway, Jimmy Wayne (June) Causey of Thomasville, N.C., Timmy Causey of High Point, N.C., and Donald (Dreama) Causey of Thomasville, N.C.; 11 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; a Brother: John "Buster" (Joyce) Hewitt of Marion; and 2 Sisters: Mildred Collins of Elgin and Lois (Glen) Martin of Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 18 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Bass officiating. Burial will follow in State Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. (one hour prior to the service) at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Published in The Sun News on May 18, 2010
