Janice Boyd Thornton, age 63, of Lakewood Drive, died Friday, May 14, 2010 Ms. Thornton was born in Conway, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Newsom Oliver and Hazel Minnie Gore Boyd. Surviving are two sons, Ned Earl Plunkett of Columbia and Christopher Thornton of Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Michael Boyd of Chicago, IL.
