Awendaw, SC………Carl Leonidas Edwards, age 83, of Seewee Road, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Edwards was born in Conway, a son of the late James W. and Nannie C. Edwards. Mr. Edwards worked in the wholesale and retail flower industry, and was a wood craftsman for many years. He was a former member of the Kingston Presbyterian Church of Conway, SC. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his late wife, Eloise Mattie Edwards, sister Nettie Maude Fisher, and brother Wilton Edwards. He is survived by three daughters, Nancy A. Lesley and husband, Daniel, of Waynesboro NC, Carla Y. Taylor and husband, Herbert, (Clyde) of Awendaw SC, Linda Riley and husband, Lewis, of Charleston SC, one son George (Bill) Edwards and wife, Julie, of McDonough GA, one sister, Kathleen "Kat" McMillan of Conway SC, six grand children, and three great grand children. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Ron Dillon officiating . Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
