Leona Cox Rabon, age 91, wife of the late Samuel D. Rabon Sr. of Dan Court passed away Sunday May 16, 2010, at her residence. Leona was born March 6, 1919 in Conway S.C. a daughter of the late Luther and Annie Causey Cox. Mrs. Rabon was predeceased by one son David Rabon one daughter-in law Annette Rabon. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Samuel Rabon Jr.of Marion, and Jimmy Rabon and his wife Brenda of Savannah, Georgia; two daughters Annie Lawson, Carolyn Norton and her husband Willie B. all of Nichols; one sister Dorothy Cain of Lumberton, N.C.; fourteen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; her extended family, the Johnsons and all of Cool Springs. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Dock Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
