Allen Eugene Richardson, 70, beloved son, brother, and father and husband of Gertie Ann Tilton Richardson went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday morning, May 10, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Richardson was the son of Warren Jackson Richardson and Isla Walker Lane Richardson and was born on June 10, 1939 in Galivant's Ferry. He was retired supervisor for MB Kahn and after retirement he work Manheim Sales; He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Quinby Baptist Church. Allen and Gertie were married October 23, 1964 and celebrated 45 years. From this blessed union survive: five children, Vonda Kay R. (F.L.) Smith, Jimmy Allen (Missy) Richardson, Linda Sue R. (David) Green, David Allen (Tuesday) Richardson, Sammy Joe (Viki) Smith; eleven grandchildren: Samantha Sutton, Frankie Smith, Jennifer Smith, Jeremy Richardson, Joshua Richardson Tiffany Green, Lydia Green, Noah Green, Zebadiah Richardson, Daphne Richardson, Amber Smith, Zach Smith; two great grandchildren, Chase Smith and Kristopher (Hunter) Hendrix. Also surviving are: four brothers: George W. (Ruby) Richardson, Elbert G. (Evelyn) Richardson, Jack W. (Janice) Richardson, Michael T. (Elizabeth) Richardson; two sisters, Juanita R. (Robert) Fennelly and Nellie R. (Martin) Cline; extended family, Mrs. Clayton (Eva) Richardson and Mrs. Bobby (Bera) Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Bobby Richardson, Clayton Richardson, and Dan A. Richardson; and three sisters, Leila "Sis" Baggs, Edith Harper, and Wennie Harper. Funeral services with Military Honors will be 3 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church with interment in the Soles Chapel Cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
