Bill Harvey Hucks age 48, of Galivants Ferry passed away May 19, 2010 due to injuries he sustained in an accident. Mr. Hucks was born August 14, 1961 in Conway, SC a son of Willie Samuel Sr. and Minnie Bell Clewis Hucks. Mr. Hucks attended Bakers Chapel Baptist Church. He was owner operator of Huck's Tree Service, an avid coon hunter and a loyal, loving husband of 28 years, a father, grandfather and a provider for his family. Mr. Hucks was predeceased by one brother Buck Ashley Byrd Jr. Surviving are his wife Kathy Reaves Hucks of the home, two sons Bill Harvey "B.J." Hucks Jr. and William Jason Hucks, both of Galivants Ferry, two daughters Erika Hucks Branton and her husband Eric of Conway; Jessika Ann Hucks of Galivants Ferry. Two brothers Willie Samuel "Sammy" Hucks Jr. of Galivants Ferry; William Vance Hucks of Loris, four sisters Carlyn Byrd Montgomery of Conway; Genise Ann Hucks of Columbia; Elisa R. Todd of Conway and Elizabeth Sue Hucks Randolph of Loris, two grandchildren Madison Hailey Branton and Jasmine Reann Branton both of Conway. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Bakers Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Todd, Rev. Lamar Squires, Rev. Glenn Lane, and Rev. Archie Evans officiating.
