    2. Muriel Ford Cook, 71, one of God's Angels, was called home on Friday, October 1, 2010 at her residence. She retired from civil service work with the Federal Government, where she worked for the FBI, the Department of the Army, and the Department of the Navy, and retired from Lockheed Martin Corp. She was currently employed by the Columbia County School System. Muriel was a member of The Sanctuary Church. Her family will remember her for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Muriel is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert "Bob" Cook; daughter, Sharon Cook Cowdrey of Grovetown; sons, Roger (Lisa) Cook of Evans, Randy (Wendy) Cook of Sarasota, Fla.; sister, Ann (George) Charpia of Summerville, S.C.; brothers, Wayne (Verna) Ford and Dan (Judy) Ford, both of Loris, S.C.; grandchildren, Christin Cook, Paul LaCentra, Matthew Cowdrey, and Mark Cowdrey; great-granddaughter, Lacey Cook; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m.Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel with Pastor Brian Cockrell officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, October 4, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Published in The Sun News on October 3, 2010
