Donnie "Bubba" Alton Hearl, 65, of Hearl Lane, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Hearl was born in Horry County, a son of the late William S. and Flory Grace Shakelford Hearl. He enjoyed gardening and animals. Mr. Hearl loved his wife, family, and Braves Baseball. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Aydin Downs; and a sister, Mary Grace Hearl. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Stanley Hearl of Conway; two sons, Donnie Hearl, Jr. and wife, Glenda, and Gregory Hearl, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; four daughters, Malinda Hardwick, Michelle Patrick and husband, Mike, Amy Hamilton and husband, Jacob, and Amanda Downs and husband, Martin, all of Conway; eight grandchildren, Leslie and Samantha Hearl, Bradlee Patrick, Austin Hamilton, Reagan Anderson, Sophia Downs, Greg and Grace Hearl; three great-grandchildren, Donnie, Jason, and Anthony; four sisters, Marilyn Graham of Aynor, Margaret Simmons and husband, James, of Conway, Flory Mincey of Aynor, and Alice Elizabeth Hucks of Nichols; and four brothers, Samuel Elwood Hearl and wife, Daisy, James Clifton Hearl and wife, Gloria, Rev. William Lee Hearl and wife, Barbara, and George Hearl and wife, Vickie all of Conway. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. William Hearl officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the church.
