    1. [SCHORRY] Agnes Saandstrom Graham
    2. AGNES VIRGINIA SANDSTROM GRAHAM She was born on February 23, 1927, in Sarasota, Florida, a daughter of Gustav E. and Florrie Gore Sandstrom. Her father was a carpenter and builder for the Ringling Brothers and her mother a school cafeteria worker. The family moved north to Columbia, South Carolina in the mid-1940s, where she graduated from Ursuline High School in 1945. From there she went to Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she received her registered nursing certificate in September 1948. Returning to Myrtle Beach to her family's business, The Sandstrom Home, after graduation, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland, to live with her sister, Grace Sandstrom. It was there that she met the love of her life, James B. Graham, a Navy veteran and graduate of Colgate University, on a blind date. Married in 1951, they lived in Ohio, New Jersey, and North and South Carolina before retiring to Myrtle Beach in February 1989. In retirement, she and Jim were faithful volunteers for Meals on Wheels as well as attending St. Philip's and King of Glory Lutheran churches. They also traveled extensively, their lifelong dream, going all over the United States as well as visiting the Caribbean, Canada, Puerto Rico, and South America. It was Jenny's strong will and spirit that kept her going after a 12 diagnosis of Alzheimer's. The Family wishes to thank the wonderful nursing staff at Kingston Nursing Center for Jenny's care for the past four years. Lorie, Flo, Stephanie, your care was instrumental to her comfort and well being. Donnella, thank you for your friendship. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005; her parents; and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Graham Thomas of Conway, South Carolina, and Paula Graham, of St. Petersburg, Florida; as well as her son-in-law, John C. Thomas; and a niece, Florrie Southerland of Pinehurst, North Carolina. Donations in her honor to Mercy Care, 8216 Devon Court, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 would be appreciated. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Please sign a guest book at goldfinchfuneralhome.com. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
